A bit pricey but outstanding food. I have been here twice and it has yet to disappoint. Selection of fresh fish is outstanding, and it is more than just fried everything. Love the ability to customize every order with their menu set up. Highly recommend!

The restaurant has a very large variety of fish and other seafood and preparation styles from which to choose. Besides their online menu, they had a fair number of specials. You can also buy raw seafood to cook at home. They have local on-tap beers with a decent selection served by the glass or pitcher. We ordered a crab and artichoke appetizer that was well seasoned and turned out to be an entire bread bowl full; we couldn't eat all of it! My wife had a beer battered fish taco, which she said was very good, and I had opah for the first time and it was good. If, however, you are looking for a fancy restaurant, this is not the place. It is popular and our friends told us there is always a line. Our wait was about 20 min. But worth the experience and the food. We'll go back soon.

My wife And I love this place. True it can be crowded, but that's because everyone knows it's great! The fish is so fresh and the poke is not something to be missed. No matter how you order your food, you will not be disappointed. The staff are friendly and always able to secure you a table for you after you order your food. When visiting San Diego, definitely hit this place up. You won't regret the wait!

I visited Blue Water Grill on my last day in San Diego. I visited around 3:30pm and there was a line of people waiting to order. The staff were super efficient on telling people in line where to sit. I ordered Bronzed Mahi Mahi salad and Fried Calamari and both were excellent!!! The fish was cooked perfectly and the calamari was the best I had in long time. I would love to go there again when I am in San Diego!!!

This is the best restaurant I have been to. The seafood is so fresh and delicious. I love this place and so excited to go back and bring my friends. This is the cat's meow. I can honestly say this is the best seafood place in the world and the best thing since slice bread..

In all our travels throughout the country this is hands down the best seafood.If you don’t try their clam chowder while you’re there I promise you’ll kick yourself later.Best in California.

The breakfast buffet on Sunday was equally as good. The food was fresh, properly prepared and they have a great value for the price. My kids loved it so much though they were so choosy when it comes to food. But when I saw them eating, I could say that they certainly liked it so much. We highly recommend this.

This is my favorite place for seafood in the city. We ordered two plates for 3 of us and we were full. The fishes are delicious and they are cooked to perfection. Must try.

came here on a warm thursday evening and the staff was ready for a line to the door. Its fast casual, so we had time in line to deliberate over mussels, scallops, salmon, grouper, clams, shrimp, swordfish, halibut, clam chowder. we took outdoor patio seating. they have cases to display the seafood which adds to the ambience. every bite from first to last was delicious. Superb dipping sauce, all ingredients made with care. daily specials keep the variety going.

This is for India street location. I had the yellow tail blackened plate and it was DELECTABLE! Their salad has delicious capers. I haven't loved a meal so much- and I can eat. Visiting- but this would be my favorite stop in this city. Sat in courtyard. Seriously yummy. Portions are good and fish is beyond fresh. Thank you Yelp for helping us find this gem! Service was great as well!!!

This is the best seafood restaurant in San Diego. We go and pick up fish to cook at home because it is so fresh and I’ve tried so many places. Also, their fish tacos are excellent!

Great place for seafood! Almost always a line and not a ton of seats, but everything is super fresh and made to order! Nice sized portions and super friendly staff. Drive or, better yet, hop on the trolley and get here for amazing seafood!

Absolutely a five star. The largest portion of seafood I've ever seen on a taco! Fresh seafood made to the perfection. You can't go wrong with this place. Only if there was less wait, I would be eating here twice a day. And the rice is so good!

This place is amazing and deserves all the accolades it has received. Fish Tacos are my favorite. These things are packed with fish. One is enough to fill up most people. The only knock is the line. It can take easily 20 minutes to order. But trust me it's well worth the wait!

Absolutely innovative. The line can feel long, but paying for your food after ordering makes the rest of your experience amazing. Food was ready quick and was delicious. Set a new personal standard of how Clam Chowder and Shrimp Tacos should taste. If you're looking for a good seafood dining experience in San Diego, go here. Great seafood! A nice little place with a patio. Basic premise is to queue and make your order. During the queue and ordering process, you will be seated. We were seated quickly in the patio. The shrimp was amazing, by far my favorite dish. The swordfish sandwich was okay, it was cooked well but a bit bland. The bread could have been toasted a bit more as inside was getting soggy. Good experience overall.
